Former Naval Aviator and retired Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant with diverse professional background who enjoys introducing aviation adventure to those interested in the exhilarating challenge of solo flight.

Former First Officer for Air Cargo Carriers, daily Fresno to Sacramento / DHL package delivery contract.

Experience in large turbo-prop SH-360 multi-engine aircraft. Former Aerial advertising pilot. PIC for banner towing and night-time LED light displays over congested San Francisco Class B airspace.

Skilled in multi-engine, turbine, high performance, and complex aircraft. Flight Experience in several aircraft: Beech T-34, North American T-28, Grumman TS-2A, Shorts 330 & 360, Piper PA-28 Archer, Arrow, PA-44 Seminole, PA-44 Seneca, TB-20 Socata Trinidad, Cessna 172/T-41A & C.

Skilled instructor in multi-engine, turbine, high performance and complex aircraft.

Retired USAF pilot instructor in C-5, T-6 and aircraft commander in MC-12/King Air 350.

Recent instructor experience in Archer II, Archer III and Cessna 172/T-41C.

Matt loves to teach! He strives to give the best training through great techniques, good flying habits, flight pacing, excellent airmanship, and solid decision making.  Students will be comfortable while enjoying exciting flying adventure, learning and the most fulfilling sense of accomplishment.

For military members desiring pilot training, please discuss with Matt. He spent two years instructing USAF Pilot Training in T-6’s.
